About laser cut Leather

Cut edge

The edge will usually be a darker tone to the tone of the leather. The thicker the leather the darker the edge will be.

Laser cutting

To prevent burn marks we cover the leather with a protective backing. This backing will be left on after laser cutting as it will protect the leather
throughout postage.

Laser engraving

Engraving on leather will normally produce a darker tone.
Please see above images for examples.

Vector engraving

Vector engraving/cutting is recommended for line and text as it will not lose resolution.
If you do not have the software to create what you need sufficiently; get in touch and we will help.

Raster engraving

Raster engraving is calculated through pixels. We recommend that you get the highest resolution image you can for the best results.
